November 1, 2022 (Warren, Ohio) – Fallon Peterson, health and social services program officer for The Nord Family Foundation in Lorain County, will join The Raymond John Wean Foundation in November as senior director of programs and operations. In this newly created position, Peterson will provide thought partnership in planning and leading implementation teams for critical, Foundation-wide projects, including grantmaking, capacity building innovation and activating the facility as a civic space.
In her current role, Peterson works directly with health organizations across the United States. She monitors progress of programs and projects that have been awarded grant funding, assists in grant evaluation processes and assists other nonprofit organizations in program development and proposal writing. Before joining the Nord Family Foundation, Peterson was the aging services administrator for the City of Cleveland Department of Aging where she focused on direct service and community health initiatives.
“This is an exciting time for the Wean Foundation. Fallon serving in this role is the catalyst for the creation of a space where we can build out talents, passions and gifts, our own as well as residents, and grow expertise in areas that are aligned with the Foundation’s vision and values,” says Jennifer Roller, president of the Wean Foundation.
Peterson’s civic engagements include membership on both Health Policy Institute of Ohio and Enlightened Solutions Board of Directors. She has been a member of various committees throughout Lorain County, spearheaded the Lorain County racial audit, and has presented on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion with BIPOC women in philanthropy and conferences nationally. She was recently selected for the She’s Rising: Cultivating Women Leaders from the Inside Out cohort.
Peterson was an Exponent Philanthropy 2020 Next Gen Fellow, as well as a Rockwood Virtual Art of Leadership for Philanthropic Leaders Fellow. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Hampton University and a Master of Science in Health Promotion and Education from the University of Cincinnati.
